PickPork Nuggets

Kids love nuggets and they are sure to love these PickPork nuggets! The perfect finger food for snacks, lunches and dinners.


 

Cut: Centre Cut Chops
Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 25 minutes
Number of Servings: 4-6

 

Ingredient

  • 1 lb (500 g) boneless pork loin centre cut chops, cut into bite-sized chunks

  • 1 cup (250 mL) breadcrumbs

  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) Parmesan cheese, finely grated

  • 1 tsp (5 mL) garlic powder

  • 1 tsp (5 mL) onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) paprika

  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt

  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) black pepper

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 1 Tbsp (15 mL) water

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 °F (200 °C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt and pepper.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together egg and water. Set aside.

  4. Dip pork chunks into egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Place the well-coated pork chunks in a single layer on a prepared baking sheet.

  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked, flipping them halfway through baking. Serve with your favourite sauce.

Makes: 28 - 30 nuggets.

Note: Don’t overbake your nuggets or they will get dry.
