Canada’s new transport regulations for livestock come into effect on February 20, 2022. But what do they mean for pork producers? Dr. Allison Ross from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency will outline the changes to the regulations and will share details on how pork producers will be affected and how the new rules will be enforced.
Dr. Allison Danyluk Ross graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. After practicing for four years in a rural mixed animal veterinary clinic, she joined CFIA in 2003 after BSE was diagnosed in Canada. She worked in slaughter inspection for three years before transferring to animal health. Allison has been heavily involved in humane transportation inspections since joining CFIA and has been training staff for these inspections for many years.
