Pork Belly Pizza
This melt in your mouth pizza smells so good while it’s cooking that you’ll find your family standing by the oven, waiting for it to come out!

Ingredient:
2 lbs (1 kg) pork belly, bone in
1 medium onion, diced
1 1/2 cups (375 mL) of your favourite BBQ sauce
1/2 cup (125 mL) water
1 (16-inch/41 cm) homemade or pre-made pizza crust*
1 bunch green onions, sliced
4 cups (1 L) mozzarella or other shredded cheese
Directions:
In a slow cooker, add pork belly, diced onion, BBQ sauce and water; stir well to combine. Cook for 4 hours on high.
With tongs, remove pork bones from slow cooker. If needed, pull pork meat apart using two forks and gently combine with sauce again.
If using homemade or Bannock recipe, spread to edges of pan and par bake at 350ºF (180ºC) for 15 minutes first, then remove from oven and increase heat to 400ºF (200ºC).
Spread pork and sauce evenly over crust. Top with the shredded cheese and bake for 20-25 minutes, or longer, until crust is golden, and cheese is starting to brown. Top with sliced green onion. Let cool a bit before slicing!
